Census 2020: This is the year we count!
This year is a census year and the Cranston Public Schools is working in partnership with RI Census 2020 to make sure that we are all counted.
$3.8 billion in federal funds flows to Rhode Island every year based on the census. The census is important to Cranston because critical funding for our schools, healthcare, and highways all depend on a successful census. It’s crucial that we make sure every Rhode Islander, every Cranston resident, including children, is counted in census 2020. All data collected for the census is completely confidential and used strictly for the census. Cranston Public Schools is encouraging all of our families to participate. The census will be open beginning on March 2 and will close on July 31. When the link to online census reporting is available, we will have it here.
