GUITAR 1 2021-RESOURCE Assignments

I'm doing this a little differently to make it easier.  There are pictures here showcasing the life of an artist.  First you need to figure out who they are.  Then in the box next to each picture, tell me what that is an important moment in their life.

The jamboard below shows some images from the life of an important guitarist. Your job is discover who that artist is, put the photos in the correct order, and underneath each photo, tell me the story of that picture.

These are notes to be taken that will eventually be used in an essay or slide deck presentation on an artist of your choice.  These notes are to be taken during class today!  You may use either your phone,  a chromebook (please ask Mrs. Johnson in room 160)  or on paper.  If you choose to do your work on paper, you must take a picture an upload a screen shot of your work.  All work must be submitted through google classroom.  If it is incomplete at the end of the period, please submit whatever work you have done for your class credit.

Use your notes from the last assignment to compile the Artist Profile Task. You may ether submit a slide deck or an essay. Make sure you site your work and to include 2 recordings.

Please do not edit the file below. This common task will be broken into pieces. The first piece is the PERFORMANCE of Ode to Joy. The instructions for performing are at the beginning of the documents.
1. You will be playing  indvdually this for Mrs. Lowell in class.  The second option is to makea recording.  You will be making two recordings. You may use mp3 or vocaroo. Please no videos.
2. I will be recording for you.  The first recording you will play the melody (TAB) to Ode to Joy. Label your recording with your last name and Odemelody For example mine would say LowellOdeMelody.
3. Iwill be recording for you.  The second recording you will play the chord changes (C and G) to Ode to Joy. Label your recording with your last name and OdeChords. For example mine would say LowellOdeChords.
4. Submit BOTH recordings for your credit.

Click on Exercises
Scroll down and select " Fretboard Note Identification"
Go to settings and make sure that it is set for "fret positions 5"
and "strings 5"
Complete 20 questions.
Screen shot and submit your score for a grade.
