ALiCE Parent Information Session

In collaboration with the CEAB, the Cranston Public Schools and the Cranston Police Department will be hosting the second informational session for parents of Cranston students on the ALiCE (Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuate) Program on Thursday, January 16 in the Cranston High School East Library Media Center at 7:00 pm.  Please make an effort to attend this very worthwhile presentation.

Parents - we want your input!

The 2013-2014 Parent Survey will be available beginning on November 12 through December 13, 2013 for all parents of students in Rhode Island public schools. Visit and click on “Take a Survey”

The Parent Survey asks about:

Student engagement, parent involvement, teacher expectations, college and career readiness, School safety and risk behaviors, parent-teacher communication, pchool-parent communication, resources and support

By taking a short survey parents can help to make improvements to Rhode Island's schools and make them a place that each child is proud to call their own.

If all parents give us feedback by completing a parent survey, then schools will understand what they are doing well and where they need to improve. Thank you for being a part of this very important project.

The Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (RIDE) is working with your local school and district to offer the state’s student survey, SurveyWorks.

Click the link below for more information on the survey and an opt-out form for anyone who does not want their student to participate in the survey.  The opt-out form is due by September 30, 2013.
