Dear Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2019:
Let me be the first to welcome you to the Cranston High School East family! Your sons/daughters will be joining the ranks of the tens of thousands of proud and distinguished Cranston East alumni and students.
Currently, your student is attending either Park View or Bain, both fine institutions in their own right. However, they will soon be coming together to join the Cranston High School East Class of 2019. Here, the students will be expected to carry on the tradition of excellence, both in their classes and extra-curricular activities.
To this end, Cranston High School East invites you and your student to attend a welcoming class night on Thursday, February 5, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cranston East Auditorium. For those interested, tours of Cranston East will be conducted beginning at 6 p.m., with the orientation in the Auditorium immediately following at 7 p.m. At this meeting, we will be discussing the various requirements that your student will be responsible for during their high school career and some of the programs which we offer at the school.
In order to prepare you for this meeting, we will be meeting with all students at both Park View and Bain on Tuesday, February 3, during the school day, to explain the course selection process. They will be receiving a course selection worksheet on this day that they should be bringing home. I would ask that you please bring this sheet with you and your student to our meeting on February 3, as we will be discussing this document.
I look forward to seeing each of you on February 5th and Go ‘Bolts.

The Guidance Office at CHSE will once again sponsor our Annual Reverse College Day on thebefore the Thanksgiving vacation. Graduates from last year are welcomed back to their alma mater to speak with our current seniors. Talk to the seniors about your college experiences to this point. All experiences are welcome. Please contact your guidance counselor from last year to let him/her know if you will be visiting and what school you are currently attending. Thanks!
Please note that the Cranston Substance Abuse Task Force is having a contest!
Any senior student can submit a 4-8 word tag line for the back windshield of the school resource police cars. The mesage must be a positive message to help teens to stay away from smoking, drinking, and drug use.
One winner will be selected from Cranston East and one winner from Cranston West. The winners receive a gift card to Garden City Shopping Center. Submit your tag line to Officer Davis by. (we already have many submissions from West - we need your help to get the senior students from East involved) - Thanks!

As the new school year and fall athletic season rapidly approaches, schools are reminded to provide documentation of a “sports physical” verifying that all athletes are medically cleared to safely participate in athletics. Your offices will soon be receiving requests for “sports physicals” or forms medically “clearing” students for participation in athletics. The RIIL Sports Medicine Advisory Committee recommends a sports specific pre-participation medical history and physical examination or “PPE” for every student athlete.Read more: Sports Physical
